Men's "A" Side vs./ Cleveland Rovers "A" Side
The Erie Rugby Club's Men's Team hosted the Cleveland Rovers on Saturday. After losing two straight games, Erie was looking to turn their season around. Cleveland struck first with an early try to make it 7-0. Erie answered right back, scoring 3 straight tries to go into halftime with a solid 17-7 lead. Erie went on to score 3 more tries in the second half to Clevelands 1, leaving the final score at 38-12. Erie heads into next weekend with a 3-2 record, and needs South Pitt to upset Akron this weekend if there's any shot at making the playoffs. Scoring for Erie's "A" Side was Adam Mook, Shane Hoyne, Nate Moore, and co-captain Matt Verga each with a try (5pts each), and Kevin Jackson with 2 tries (5pts each). Shane hoyne converted 4 of the 6 tries (2 pts each) to complete the scoring.
Men's "B" Side vs./ Cleveland Rovers RFC "B" Side
Erie's "B" Side played a very strong and close match against a very strong Cleveland B Side team. After giving up an early try, Erie bounced back with a try around the outside. Cleveland bounced back and scored 2 more tries to finish the half with a 19-5 lead. In the second half, Erie held Cleveland to only one try, and scored two of our own. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to win the match...leaving us with a final score of 24-15, and the B Side's second loss of the season. Scoring for Erie were Ryan Kruzewski, Eddie Young, and Sergio Rodriguez each with a try (5 pts each).

Erie heads to Morgantown, West Virginia to face the Mon River Mud Lobsters on Saturday, October 17th for our last match of the season.
