The Erie Rugby Club is proud to announce our 1st Annual Sandy 7s Beach Rugby Tournament!
When - Saturday, July 16, 2011
Time - 9 am - 5 pm
Where - Beach # 9 @ Presque Isle State Park
Who - Men's, Women's, U19
Cost - $150 per team
Tournament rules are based upon the beach 7s rugby that is played over on the east coast. With the limited size of fields and the fact that we are literally playing on sand...they do make a lot of sense. Tourney rules can be found here for your reference! Please read the tourney rules before you commit, as this is not your typical 7s rugby.
This is a unique tournament and a great time to get together with friends for a good weekend of sunshine and rugby! Presque Isle State Park is a great place to spend the weekend, with beaches galore, walking/riding trails, boat/jetski rentals, and Waldameer Park & Water World just outside of the entrance to the park! Drop the wife/husband and kids off at the amusement park, or bring em along to spend a day on the beautiful beaches of Presque Isle!
