Please help us welcome our new club officers for 2009!
Thanks again to Len Weidner & Pete Barry for your outstanding services last year. Thanks also to current Match Secretary - John Lesniewski, Publicity Coordinator - Greg Farrell Jr., Social Chairman - Adam Mook, and Treasurer - Jim Shippling, who will continue to carry the torch after diligently serving in 2008.
New officers:
President - Jeremy Jaeger
Jeremy has been an active member of this club for over 12 years. He has been our secretary in the past, and has been involved with the club at various levels throughout his rugby career. His stated goal for this year is to complete the already applied for 501c3 paperwork, get The Erie Rugby Foundation up and running, as well as focus all club efforts on our youth program!
Secretary - John Humphrey
John has been around for quite some time, and over the last few years he's really helped our organization a great deal. John is also our U19 Coordinator, and has been the rock of our entire youth program since it's inception. This is John's first time as a club officer, and we think he'll do a fine job of keeping us all informed!
Sergeant at Arms - Matt Verga
Matt was our team captain last fall, and has been a big part of our club on and off the pitch. Matt volunteers with the Shriner's Hospital Sled Hockey team every Friday evening on behalf of The Erie Rugby Club, and is one of the best players to take the field each week. This is also Matt's first time as a club officer, and we are very excited to see younger members step up and help steer this club into the future.
Publicity Coordinator - Greg Farrell
Greg has only been with us for a few years, and has already proven that he is a "lifer". With his extensive connections in both business and media, Greg was able promote our club and sport on TV as well as local newspaper more in 2008 than ever before. We look forward to more of the same this year!
Social Chairman - Adam Mook
Adam has been a stand-out member of our club on and off the pitch, for 5+ years now. With his drive and connections in Erie, he did a fine job as our social chairman in 2008...and we believe he'll have a repeat performance for 2009. We can all look forward to another year of fun, and of course, another year of great sweaters! |
